Dr. Ichak Adizes, Ph. D. Dr. Adizes is the Founder and CEO of the Adizes Institute, an international consulting company. Dr. Adizes has worked with a wide variety of companies ranging from the Global 100 to middle market companies and startups. He has also consulted to Presidents, Prime Ministers and Cabinet-Level Officers in several countries.
In addition to his work transforming organizations, Dr. Adizes is a highly sought after speaker who consistently receives high acclaim from CEOs, Presidents, and Board Members worldwide for the relevance and value of his compelling talks. Dr. Adizes works and lectures in English, Spanish, Hebrew and Serbian and has spoken to several hundred thousand executives in more than 60 countries.
Dr. Adizes is recognized by those who know his work as one of the world’s top thinkers on leadership and management. His theories and methods are documented in 15 books that have been translated into 24 languages. His book, Corporate Lifecycles: How Organizations Grow and Die and What to Do About It was named one of the Ten Best Business Books by Library Journal. The Leadership Excellence Journal named Dr. Adizes one of the Top 30 Thought Leaders in the United States.
In recognition of his contributions to management theory and practice, Dr. Adizes has been awarded 15 honorary doctorates from institutions in 10 countries and two honorary citizenships. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Management and has been made an honorary citizen of two Eastern European countries. He also received the 2010 Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which is awarded by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations Foundation for contributions to humanity.

Prior to starting the Adizes Institute, Dr. Adizes served as a tenured faculty member at UCLA Anderson School of Management, and was a visiting professor at Stanford, Tel Aviv and Hebrew Universities. He also taught at the Columbia University Executive Program. He has served as Dean of the Adizes Graduate School for the Study of Leadership and Change, and is currently an academic advisor to the Graduate School of Management of the Academy of National Economy of the Russian Federation. Dr. Adizes holds a PHD from Columbia University. He makes his home in Santa Barbara, California. In his leisure time he enjoys folk dancing, playing the accordion, and meditation.
Shoham has been helping organizations transform since 2001. Before that Shoham spent many years working as assistant to Dr. Ichak Adizes, CEO/Founder of the Adizes Institute. Traveling with Dr. Adizes provided Shoham with a unique opportunity to learn the Adizes methodology. Working with organizations around the world, assisting with massive restructuring programs, prepared Shoham to become the head trainer at the Adizes Institute. Since then Shoham has worked with various organizations helping them achieve high levels of sustainable growth.
Shoham regularly addresses top executives on the subject of management and is a frequent contributor to "Insights," the Adizes Institute weekly online publication. Shoham is also the founder of Energy Reclaim, an organization that works with the California Public Utility Commission to reduce energy consumption by providing energy saving devices to high consumers of electricity.
Shoham studied at the University of Colorado, Boulder and Oxford University and has a B.S. in Business. He makes his home in Santa Barbara, CA. Shoham lectures in English.
Richard works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. His association with Adizes began in 1978.
Mr. Azera is a company Founder and Chief Executive Officer who used Adizes to help him build three highly successful companies in Europe; 1) Copy 2000, a chain of instant printing and copying stores, 2) Contact Office Automation, a full service IT company, and Roche Claire (which became Chateau D’Eau), a water bottling and distribution company.
In addition to his entrepreneurial successes, Richard was also a large company executive having been the CEO of HOD in Group Suez, and CEO of HOD Europe in Group Danone. He is also the founder and manager of Escale Investments, a Real Estate Private Equity Fund specializing in residential distressed properties in Southern California.
For more than 20 years Richard has been a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO). He started the Paris Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He also served as the Chairman and Executive Committee Member of the European Bottled Water Association (EBWA) as well as Chairman of the International Council of Bottled Water Association (ICBWA).
Richard holds a Master degree in Engineering from a French Grande École, and an MBA from UCLA. He is married and makes his home in Southern California. Mr. Azera lectures in English, Spanish and French.
Barry works in Canada and the United States to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. His specialty is not-for-profit faith-based organizations and small to mid-sized companies. Barry also utilizes Adizes in his responsibilities with the Government of Canada, Youth for Christ Canada, and Trinity Western University.
Barry was first introduced to Adizes in 1989 when he was chosen to deploy the methodology within his own organization. Barry is a former Chief Executive who worked with a number of organizations in the faith-based sector over his 30 year career including Campus Crusade for Christ Canada, Youth for Christ Canada, and Power to Change in Canada and Ireland. He and his wife Wendy founded the Christian Embassy in Ottawa (A ministry to politicians and diplomats).
Mr. Bowater began his professional career as an educator in Ontario, Canada following his graduation from Concordia University (Sir George Williams University) in Montreal in 1967. He and Wendy have four children and seven grandchildren and reside in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. Barry lectures in English.
Sunil has worked for over 15 years around the world teaching Adizes and guiding clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. He has been intimately involved with many remarkable Adizes success stories.
Prior to his involvement with Adizes, Sunil spent 20 years as a technology executive in software, manufacturing and service industries. Throughout his career, Mr. Dovedy has continually been focused on the creation and management of high performance teams. He has first-hand experience successfully leading global organizations and dealing with fast changing environments. Sunil successfully deployed Adizes in his own organization.
His rich and varied experience and his continuing work with for-profit and non-profit clients have given Sunil powerful insights into the key factors that are critical to successfully deploying Adizes in any organization.
As a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and the Institute of Technology, Varanasi, with an MBA and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Dovedy combines significant business operations background with technical depth and breadth. This is coupled with keen customer orientation, enabling him to contribute broadly to those he supports. He is married with three children and resides in Southern California.
Juan José works in Mexico and the United States to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes.
Juan Jose is an avid entrepreneur who co-founded an Internet company that provided specialized HR services. He also co-founded and ran a non-profit organization dedicated to promote business ethics and social responsibility within university students and companies in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He remains active as an advisor and lecturer. Mr. Flores also worked as an independent business consultant serving clients in the southern states of Mexico.
Mr. Flores holds a Business Administration Degree and a Masters in Business Innovation from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He lives in Monterrey, Mexico. Juan Jose lectures in English and Spanish.
Pavel works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes.
Pavel began his work with Adizes in 2007 when he established Adizes Belarus, the first Adizes office in the Russian-speaking world. He was one of the primary professionals at the Adizes Academy of Management where he trained hundreds of university professors in the Adizes Methodology. His exceptional ability to teach Adizes and help executives transform their organizations through Adizes was a key reason why Adizes is now a core part of the management curriculum in many Russian and Eastern European Academic Institutions.
Prior to Adizes, Mr. Golenchenko was the CEO of the IPM Business School, a leading provider of executive training and development programs in Belarus. He also worked in several technology businesses.
Mr. Golenchenko holds a Master of Science in Management from the Economics Institute of the University of Colorado and the Belarusian State University. He also has an International Executive MBA from the Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and a BS in Civil Engineering. Pavel is married, has two children, and makes his home in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Golenchenko lectures in English and Russian.
Humberto works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. Mr. Padilla has experience with both for-profit and non-profit organization in a diverse range of industries. He also works with many universities and other educational and leadership development institutions where he regularly lectures on Adizes and organizational transformation. Prior to joining Adizes, Humberto founded a company that provided logistics services across Mexico.
Mr. Padilla holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. He also has Industrial Engineering degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He makes his home in Guadalajara, Mexico. Humberto lectures in English and Spanish.
Stephen works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. He is a globally experienced Chief Executive Officer with a successful history of P&L leadership of $300 million plus organizations.
Prior to Adizes, Stephen was President and CEO of BOMI International, North America’s premier education and training organization within the property and facility management sector. Within two years, Steve turned BOMI into a profitable, growth oriented business.
Stephen has led and consulted with various companies including Thomson Prometric (formerly Sylvan Prometric), a division of Thomson Learning where he served as the CEO of the United Kingdom operation and Executive Chairman of the Japanese Joint Venture; EDMC of Pittsburgh and ETS of Princeton.
Previously Stephen served as Regional Director of DHL Worldwide Express, based in Brussels, Belgium, directing the Change Management/Restructuring efforts of this $2.8Bn corporation. Prior positions include Worldwide Head of Consulting for Sabre Decision Technologies based in Dallas, TX. He has also held CEO and President level positions within divisions of the Swire Pacific/Cathay Pacific Group (Hong Kong and Frankfurt), Reed International Publishing (Asia/Pacific Region) and the Jardine, Matheson Group in Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China and S.E. Asia.
Mr. Phipps is a graduate of Birmingham University School of Education in England. He makes his home is Annapolis, MD and Birmingham, MI. Mr. Phipps lectures in English.
Shimon works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. He has worked with the Adizes Institute since 1991.
Mr. Rojany focuses on the development of organizational mission and vision, the design and implementation of organizational structures, and the design and monitoring of managerial and financial accountability systems. His work has taken him all over the world and across many globally diversified industries.
In addition to his Adizes experience, Shimon is a highly successful entrepreneur and C-Level executive. He was a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the CIM group; a multibillion real estate investment and management company. Mr. Rojany was also a co-founder of ClickSoftware (CKSW), a global service chain optimization software company where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Shimon and the CEO took ClickSoftware through a public offering in 2000. Shimon also co-founded Ariel Investments, Inc. a real estate investment firm. Ariel Investments was involved in residential and commercial development in California. He also served as a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lowe Enterprises, Inc. a real estate development and asset management company with national holdings. Shimon began his career with the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand where he managed the financial and administrative affairs of numerous companies.
Mr. Rojany has trained many consultants and executives in various areas of financial and managerial disciplines and has lectured on accounting, finance and management related topics at California State University. Shimon is a CPA. He earned an MBA in Management Decision Systems from the University of Southern California (Beta Gamma Sigma), and a B.S. degree in accounting California State University, Northridge (Magna Cum Laude). He and his wife make their home in Southern California.
Clark works around the world to teach Adizes and guide clients to transform their organizations through Adizes. For over 35 years, he has helped CEOs and their leadership teams successfully address growth, profitability, and other tough management challenges. In doing so he has helped his clients generate tens of millions of dollars in revenue, profits, and enterprise value.
Mr. Wigley brings the pragmatic perspective of a former chief executive with a bias towards straight talk, practical solutions, and results. He has first-hand knowledge of the trials and tribulations faced by both Founders and large company executives, having been a senior executive in several organizations and a Founder in numerous entrepreneurial ventures. He knows how to build young organizations and understands the unique challenges of family-owned businesses. Mr. Wigley also understands how to rejuvenate mature enterprises and has guided several private and public sector organizations through the tricky waters of large-scale multi-year transformation.
Clark has been a long term trusted advisor to owners and executives in a wide range of industries including digital media, financial services, environmental services, insurance, defense, direct marketing, publishing, IT, hardware, software, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, construction, and telecommunications.
Mr. Wigley began his career as a combat engineer officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers. His initial leadership training was gained with Ranger Battalions and Special Forces teams in the jungles of Panama. Clark holds an MBA from UCLA, and an MS and BS in Engineering from Lehigh University. He is married with two adult sons and makes his home in the Silicon Valley.
